Job Description
A steel supplier and metal processing company is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk! This role’s primary focus is monitoring the outflow of financial capital for the company. You will be responsible for processing vendor payments, verifying financial reports, and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions. Apply now for this position, hiring ASAP!
Responsibilities:
• Processes payment of vendors including verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies
• Processes and verifies expense reports including expense reconciliation and financial reports with account balances
• Ensures outstanding funds are credited upon payment, recognizes discount opportunities, and issues purchase order adjustments and/or stop-payment orders
• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
• Verifies documentation and distributes petty cash as well as completes record keeping
• Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices
Qualifications and Requirements:
• 2+ years of accounts payable related experience
• Reliable with integrity and a high intention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office 365
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification a plus
