Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Akron, Ohio. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with the responsibility of managing our financial obligations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting functions. You will be working closely with our team to oversee the accounts payable process, manage customer credit applications, and maintain accurate customer credit records. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the process of stuffing checks and putting them in envelopes • Handle and respond appropriately to any emails in the Accounts Payable group inbox • Take responsibility for opening and processing paper invoices • Conduct statement follow-ups to ensure accuracy and completeness • Perform account reconciliations to ensure balance sheets are accurate • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and invoice processing • Ensure accuracy in the coding of invoices • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Maintain accurate records of all Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and activities. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role is required. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary. • Practical experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. • Capability to perform Check Runs is mandatory. • Familiarity with Coding Invoices is expected. • Must possess strong Data Entry skills. • Experience in Invoice Processing is required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
