Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to be a part of our construction team based in Irvine, California. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with managing and processing accounts payable data, maintaining records, and ensuring effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Execute day-to-day financial activities, emphasizing the verification, classification, and recording of accounts payable data. • Collaborate with the Accounting team to manage daily accounting tasks and contribute to periodical reporting. • Communicate effectively with Project Managers to code vendor invoices and project billings, and ensure their accurate entry into the Project Management or Accounting software. • Monitor and manage unapproved invoices using Excel spreadsheet and coordinate with Project Managers for payment approval. • Maintain regular interaction with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely payment processing and maintain healthy payment relationships. • Process accounts payable invoices weekly and conduct check runs. • Ensure timely entry of credit card statements into the Accounting system on a monthly basis. • Conduct bank reconciliations to identify and investigate any discrepancies. • Handle incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis and maintain organized records of all transactions. • Assist the Estimating department by making bid calls to subcontractors. • Uphold the highest standards of ethics, stewardship, and confidentiality at all times. • Perform other general office duties as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required • Must have experience in Accounts Payable (AP) • Familiarity with Check Runs is necessary • Ability to conduct Coding Invoices is expected • Strong skills in Data Entry are essential • Prior experience with Invoice Processing is a must • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary • Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
