Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Santa Barbara, California. As an integral part of our team, you will be instrumental in managing our gift card inventory and processing invoices, ensuring smooth financial operations within our organization. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently handle the processing of invoices, contributing to the smooth running of the accounts department. • Utilize your proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and update spreadsheets related to inventory and accounts payable. • Conduct regular account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. • Manage the check runs process, ensuring all checks are picked up and processed in a timely manner. • Drive a county vehicle as needed for the purpose of managing physical gift card inventory across multiple locations. • Use your skills in coding invoices to ensure all financial records are correctly categorized. • If familiar, utilize Workday to further streamline financial processes, although this is not a requirement. • Collaborate effectively with the team, contributing to a positive work environment and demonstrating quick learning abilities. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of two years' experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar accounting position. • Proven proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. • Demonstrated experience in managing accounts payable (AP), including invoice processing and check runs. • Skilled in coding invoices, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis. • Experience with Workday or similar financial management software is preferred. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly. • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail are essential. • Good organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and effective correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
