Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the independent banking industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a range of tasks related to accounts payable, including invoice preparation, payment processing, and state tax payments. The role also involves resolving inquiries from business partners and assisting with audits and other accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer credit • Resolve inquiries regarding payment status for both internal and external customers • Prepare accounts payable management reports • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of process improvements • Update and maintain department procedures • Actively participate in accounts payable related projects • Assist in preparing deliverables related to external/internal audits and exams • Contribute to various accounting-related tasks such as fixed assets entry and maintenance, prepaid and accrual journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and other accounting duties • Prepare monthly sales and use tax payments for each state in which business is conducted • Assist with the processing of sales and use tax and 1099 payment and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role • Strong knowledge and experience in Account Reconciliation • Proven skills in Accounts Payable (AP) • Ability to perform Check Runs • Proficiency in Coding Invoices • Solid Data Entry skills • Experience in Invoice Processing • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel • Experience in performing Bank Deposits • Familiarity with Bank Operations • Knowledge of Form 1099 procedures • Understanding of Sales Tax computations • Experience in preparing and reviewing Expense Reports Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
