Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-respected non-profit organization in the education sector located in San Diego. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment and enjoys working with a collaborative finance team. Key Responsibilities: + Process a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. + Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor records. + Assist with payment processing, including ACH, checks, and wire transfers. + Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. + Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies. + Maintain financial records and assist with audits as needed. Requirements Qualifications: + 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a non-profit or education setting. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems). + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. + Knowledge of fund accounting or grant-related AP processes is a plus. + Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
