Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000

Our offices are based in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, but we are pleased to note that for this opportunity we are open to remote candidates in the Chicagoland area.

Position Summary:

The Parking Spot is now hiring for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk with 3+ years of clerical experience.  This person will provide support for our growing department by assisting with accounts payable, preparation of weekly and monthly billings, communication with members of our field management team and vendors, and general mailing and scanning.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accounting and clerical functions to support accounting team Pays vendors accurately and in compliance with Company procedures while monitoring discount opportunities, ensuring accurate tax ID numbers and insurance information, if necessary Manages relationship with vendors especially when invoices are missing, vendors have inquiries, credit memos are required, etc. Reconciles entries between company’s outsourced A/P approval system and internal accounting system Manages invoice workflow within company’s A/P system by reviewing that proper internal control procedures are followed and result in accurate invoice coding Set up and monitor online utility bills for each of the Company’s operating properties to ensure timely payment and recording of payments Pays company’s sales and airport access taxes monthly and/or quarterly and tracks payments to verify timely receipt Generates and submits weekly and monthly invoices to managed properties Ensures staff reimbursement reports are processed timely and accurately Helps document changing procedures within the AP process for internal control documentation Assists with annual 1099 preparation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

3+ years of clerical or administrative experience Quick learner Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new things Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Ability to track variances to budget and critically analyze invoice accuracy Ability to work well with both internal employees and external customers with emphasis on providing outstanding service Strong Excel and math skills Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
