Job Description

In this hands-on, detail driven role, you will lead our Accounts Payable team and serve in a hands-on accounts payable processing part of the team. This role will train and supervise a team in the accurate and timely processing of all expense and payments transactions with appropriate supporting documentation.  The Accounts Payable Manager will recommend process improvements to increase business efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Responsible for the oversight of the accounts payable department, which includes timely and accurate payment of vendors and resolution of issuesSupervise high volume of transactions handling full cycle accounts payable for multiple companies and sites in a fast-paced environmentOversees monthly AP checklists are completed to ensure all quality controls are maintainedOversees monthly reconciliation of payable general ledger accounts and directs team members regarding resolution of outstanding itemsEnsuring invoices and disbursements are processed accurately and timelyEnsuring the monthly accounts payable close is completed timely and accuratelyTrain, coach and supervise a team of Accounts Payable Specialist in the completion of daily assignmentsIdentifies account payable risk and makes recommendations to make the process more efficientPreparation of the 1099-s and maintaining the vendor W9 filesSupports all internal and external reviews/audit requests pertaining to Accounts Payable.Consistently deliver the best in customer service.  As an employee, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with customers, visitors and other employeesActively follow and promote a safe working environmentResponsible for special projects assigned by management.

QualificationsAccounts Payable with 7+ years of experienceAAS degree in Accounting preferredAdvanced MS Office skillsKnowledge of Excel requiredExcellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.Experience with multi-company entities and inter-company reconciliationsExcellent analytical and organizational skills.Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues effectivelyDemonstrates autonomy, organization, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilitiesAbility to analyze information, identify and solve problemsAttention to detail and well-developed time management skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalismMicrosoft Dynamics GP experience is preferred
