Our Jersey City branch is looking for a new Accounts Payable Trade Manager to join their Finance team. Your Role Responsible for overall management of Trade payables for our Accounts Payable Department across multiple companies, our Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing approximately 5-7 local direct reports and our remote work handled by the Shared Service Center in Central America. You will be in a collaborative environment of 3 Managers within the Accounts Payable group and 1 Director, working alongside 2 other Managers who are directly responsible for: All strategic initiatives such as Supply Chain Finance, Extended Supplier Terms, onboarding of electric invoices via Tradeshift, and Specialized Payment processes. Your Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing the accounting and book-keeping processes related to a full cycle Accounts Payable Department for Trade Expenses such as: registration, approval process, payment runs and execution execution , maintaining an accurate subledger, Ticketing Queues, and ReportingLiase with our main suppliers for your assigned area, including Airlines, Carriers, Rail, and TruckersAssist in the development and implementation of Policies and Procedures/ Operating Standards, setting priorities, and developing department goals and objectivesManage the day-to-day tasks of the department and staff, providing technical guidance and expertise to subordinates in day-to-day management of accounting activities within their area of specialtyDirect, coordinate, assign, and audit the quality of  work performed by your staff and Service CenterResponsible for month end reporting, supporting the business with ad hoc reports and analysis, the month end close process, and requests from internal + external auditors Your Skills and Experiences Bachelors Degree in Finance or a related field7+ years experience in Accounting5+ years experience directly managing 3+ individualsExperience managing multiple supplier relationshipsStrong with cross functional collaboration, with experience managing internal customer relations with other branches, management, and affiliated companiesStrong technical skills in Accounting Software applications, MS Office, and Excel (for example Pivot Tables, VLookups, and Formulas)Open to International Relocation for Internal Candidates Good Reasons to Join At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. The target total compensation range for this position is between $125,000 and $165,000. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
