Accounts Payable Manager
Accounts Payable Manager Job Description Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing all accounts payable processes. You will join a large accounting team of 22 members within a company of 500 employees, where you will contribute to optimizing department processes and gaining operational efficiencies. Responsibilities + Manage staff responsible for performing accounts payable functions. + Follow company procedures for compliance and internal controls. + Code and process invoices, ensuring accurate accounting period, company, branch or division allocation, and proper G/L account codes. + Handle prepaid expenses and classification of nonemployee compensation. + Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expenses, maintaining accurate records and control reports. + Identify, communicate, and resolve all account aging issues in a timely manner. + Evaluate and implement technology and process improvements to optimize department processes. + Provide detailed account variance analysis. + Ensure proper vendor identification information has been obtained for the preparation of annual 1099s. + Perform daily approval of ACH and wire activity. + Assist with accounting department audit requests. Essential Skills + Adaptable personality with a positive attitude and eagerness to grow. + Experience working across multiple ERP systems (NetSuite, FAX, VICAI). + Supervisory experience. + Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. + Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities. + Natural leadership skills with a hands-on approach. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school degree required, Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. + 2-4 years’ experience with processing invoices using an accounts payable module. + 2-3 years’ experience with general ledger, month-end close functions, and reconciliations. + Management or supervisory experience required.
