Accounts Payable Manager
Job Title: Accounts Payable ManagerJob Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and procurement functions within the organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliation. This role requires strong leadership skills, proficiency in accounting principles, and the ability to leverage systems and streamline processes to improve efficiency. Responsibilities + Oversee the Company’s Accounts Payable function and ensure compliance with expense, procurement, and related policies. + Review invoices and ensure accurate and timely processing of approximately 300 invoices per month, with correct coding to department, GL account, and product, as per company policy. + Review, process, and ensure proper coding of employee corporate card charges and reimbursements. + Create biweekly payment batches (ACH, wires, and check runs) in the bank portal, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms. Create payment templates where necessary. + Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate month-end processes of exporting invoicing and payments to the ERP system. + Process 1099’s. + Review invoice terms, confirm payment instructions, and resolve inquiries. Ensure compliance with the invoice approval process and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues in a timely manner. Enforce the procurement policy and distribute and store executed vendor contracts. + Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including negotiating payment terms and resolving payment inquiries. Set up new vendors. + Supervise the accounts payable specialist, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. + Ensure proper functioning of the payment system and modify settings as necessary. + Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. + Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Proven experience of 5-10 years in an accounts payable role, preferably in the for-profit services/technology industry. + Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills. + Experience in MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and bill pay systems such as Divvy, Concur, and Ramp preferred. + Excellent supervisory and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment. + Experience in identifying process gaps and recommending solutions. + High level of integrity and ethical conduct. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains). + Experience with bill pay systems such as Divvy, Concur, and Ramp.
