Accounts Payable Manager
Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Accounts Payable Director to support our real estate client on a 3–4-month hybrid engagement in the Westlake Village area beginning immediately. The AP Director will step in and oversee and transform their AP processes. This role will focus on standardizing and streamlining highly manual processes within the organization's AP function, ensuring greater efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP and Concur, as well as a proven track record of leading AP transformations in complex environments. Responsibilities: + Oversee and manage AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. + Address and resolve historical process inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Process Standardization & Improvement: + Evaluate current AP processes and workflows, identify key inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to streamline operations. + Design and implement standardized processes to reduce manual work, errors, and inconsistencies. Technology Optimization: + Leverage expertise in SAP to optimize AP-related processes and reporting capabilities. + Utilize Concur to enhance expense and invoice management workflows. + Partner with IT and relevant stakeholders to roll out new/updated system features and ensure alignment with business objectives. Change Management: + Lead and support change management initiatives related to AP process improvements. + Develop training materials and document new workflows to ensure consistent adoption across teams. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: + Serve as the primary AP point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and department heads. + Collaborate closely with finance, procurement, and technology teams to ensure cross-functional alignment. Compliance and Controls: + Ensure AP processes comply with company policies, legal standards, and internal controls. + Regularly review and update AP procedures to mitigate risks and maintain audit readiness. Interim Support: + Serve as an interim leader, providing day-to-day operational direction for the AP team and mentoring staff as needed. + Qualifications and Requirements Requirements + Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, including leadership roles overseeing AP functions for large or complex organizations. + Strong change management skills with the ability to mentor and inspire diverse teams through transitions. + Proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives and implementing scalable AP solutions. + Familiarity with Concur and SAP systems is a must + Demonstrable skill in data processing and account coding + Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes + Experience with accrual accounting procedures + Expertise in auditing and maintaining financial security + Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes + Real Estate & Property industry experience would be advantageous Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
