Responsibilities: • Invoice Processing: Accurately process and record vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval in compliance with company policies. • Payment Management: Schedule and prepare payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements. • Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly. • Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and manage discrepancies to maintain accurate accounts. • Financial Reporting: Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accounts payable reports and supporting documentation. • Compliance: Ensure all accounts payable activities adhere to internal controls and external regulations, supporting audit processes as needed. • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounts payable processes and contribute to the implementation of best practices. Requirements: • Experience: 3+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably within the aviation industry. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software; experience with aviation-specific financial systems is a plus. • Knowledge: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounts payable best practices. • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in processing financial information. • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and team members. • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. • Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
