A faith based community impact organization is hiring an Accounts payable Specialist in Sarasota, 34232. The position offers full time hours and starting pay up to $23.00/hr + regular pay increases.

About the position: The ideal Accounting Specialist (accounts payable exp required) will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various financial software systems. Manage accounts payable processes. Reconcile all credit card payments to daily settlement reports. Process and record all deposits and credit card payments. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare annual 1099s. This position reports to the Financial Controller and works closely with other departments; human resources, payroll, etc.

Minimum Requirements
5+ year of AP accounting experience OR a completed BA in Accounting/Finance
Strong organizational skills
A team player who works well with others
