HOW YOU WILL MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform a variety of clerical and technical accounting duties such as receiving, entering, verifying, and reconciling invoices and/or credit card transactions. This position will be responsible for various tasks with the Accounting Department with a specific focus on the Accounts Payable (A/P) functions to increase the Company’s effectiveness and efficiency. SOME OF WHAT WE ENTRUST YOU TO DO + Assist in the management of the daily A/P functions + Enter/import accurate accounting transactions + Scan, sort, and match back up documents to corresponding A/P transactions + Code, review, and assign A/P transactions + Monitor correspondence to and from internal and external company contacts + File and maintain records for the A/P Department + Assist with the credit card process; issuing cards, cancelling cards, filing disputes, etc. + Track weekly activity to ensure there is no misuse of the company credit card so any inappropriate charges are investigated promptly. + Reconcile vendor statements and request any missing invoices from vendors WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) + Ability to use computers and computer systems, set up functions, enter data, and process information + Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards + Strong mathematical skills – knowledge of mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem and ability to spot numerical errors + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing + Service orientation skills + Critical thinking skills – using logic to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems + Superior organizational skills + Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted + Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record YOUR PRIOR EXPERIENCE + Required : High School Diploma or GED equivalent + Preferred: Minimum 1 year of verifiable accounting experience + Preferred: Experience with accounting software + COMPETITIVE PACKAGE The pay range for the AP Specialist in Paso Robles, CA is $23 to $26 hourly. This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on a number of factors, such as experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
