Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Germantown, Tennessee. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with managing and analyzing utility billing processes, maintaining vendor account information, and handling utility billing issues. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive support, customer service, and evaluations of all utility billing processes. • Maintain and update vendor account and contact information worksheets, focusing on common area utilities. • Regularly communicate with property managers to resolve any utility billing issues or usage concerns. • Assist in research and resolution of utility billing alongside other accountants and supervisors. • Evaluate and propose changes in Accounts Payable data and billing processes for utilities. • Manage the Utility Bonds and complete the periodic renewal process. • Regularly communicate with utility vendors to resolve billing and payment issues. • Review utility checks for accuracy and completeness before they are mailed out. • Monitor variances of utility processing and take necessary action. • Provide backup support to the Utility Supervisor and perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Account Coding • Proficiency in using various Accounting Software Systems • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services • Experience with Concur software • Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Proven ability in performing various Accounting Functions • Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) operations • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting • Experience in Auditing procedures and processes • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
