Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Miami, Florida. This role will be part of our team, operating within the industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, receipts, and payments. Responsibilities: • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of vendor invoice entries in financial software. • Assist the Accounting Manager with month-end duties and support the year-end audit process by preparing necessary documentation and schedules. • Communicate effectively with other departments such as Procurement, Logistics, and Sales as well as senior management. • Conduct weekly audits of Accounts Payable and prepare reconciliation updates for the Accounting Manager. • Run monthly check batches and perform other accounting, financial, and additional duties as assigned. • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of general ledger entries. • Use your proficiency in English and, if possible, Spanish, to communicate and correspond effectively. • Utilize your skills in Excel, Pivot Tables, and V-Lookups and your knowledge of SAP B1 if possible. • Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality. • Leverage your excellent listening and problem-solving skills to effectively address customer inquiries and issues. • Utilize your experience in accounting functions, accrual accounting, automated clearing house, and accounting software systems to perform job duties efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential • Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is required • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is desired • Knowledge of Concur software is a plus • Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is crucial • Ability to handle various Accounting Functions is necessary • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processing is required • Proficiency in Accrual Accounting is expected • Auditing skills are essential • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures is beneficial Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
