Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This person will be responsible for assisting with and managing company expenses and bills. This role requires the individual to prepare and organize accounting data to ensure accuracy in payments and maintaining an updated record of expenses. Key Duties and Responsibilities: + Verifying, reviewing, and reconciling invoices and payment requests. + Organizing and categorizing invoices, preparing them for payment. + Inputting data and uploading invoices into the designated system. + Tracking and processing company expenses and expense reports. + Helping in the preparation and execution of electronic transfers and payments. + Assisting with the weekly checks process and the preparation of international wire transfers when necessary. + Maintaining files related to vendors and interacting with vendors to address inquiries. + Assisting in reconciling accounts payable details such as monitoring discount opportunities, verifying tax IDs, preparing checks, and resolving invoice discrepancies. + Assisting in the creation of monthly reports and supporting the end-of-month closing process. + Providing necessary documents for audits. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: + Previous experience in an accounts payable role or in a similar field. + Understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles relating to accounts payable. + Ability to manage, post, and calculate accounting figures and financial records accurately. + Proficient data entry skills and a strong aptitude for numbers. + Experience using spreadsheets and proprietary software. + Fluent in English and proficient in MS Office Suite. + Excellent customer service and negotiation skills. + A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is beneficial.
