Description We are seeking to bring an Accounts Payable Specialist onboard for a client in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role is centered around handling various aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing and auditing, maintaining accurate financial records, and facilitating electronic payments. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Receive, audit, and verify charges on invoices prior to processing • Efficiently process around 200 invoices on a weekly basis • Handle payables processing once validated • Manage customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions • Process refunds as required • Initiate Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions • Use Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Excel for various tasks • Gain familiarity with Sage 100 or similar accounting software systems • Assist in the training of new team members and provide support as necessary • Ensure a smooth transition to a potential hybrid work model after the initial full on-site training period. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding is essential for this role. • Experience with accounting software systems is required. • Must have knowledge of ADP - Financial Services. • Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required. • Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Understanding of accrual accounting is required. • Ability to perform auditing tasks is essential. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is beneficial.
