Description We are on the hunt for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. Based in The greater WOrcester Ma area. This role is instrumental in managing all aspects of accounts payable, from invoice processing to account monitoring. This role plays a crucial part in our financial operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of transactions and adherence to established financial regulations. Responsibilities: • Manage all elements of accounts payable, including the processing of invoices and credits. • Conduct research for appropriate documentation and approvals, and resolve any discrepancies. • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are made in accordance with terms. • Set up new vendor and customer accounts, acquire business reports and appropriate tax certifications. • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal clients in a timely and professional manner. • Process 1099’s and weekly check runs. • Assist with payroll processing including time and attendance, personal and direct deposit changes, and processing of garnishments. • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting cycles, debits/credits, and full cycle processes. • Utilize ERP skills and Excel skills to manage accounts and process data. • Foster a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong accuracy and attention to detail. Requirements • Demonstrable skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP). • Proven experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices. • Proficient in Data Entry and Invoice Processing. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other related software. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
