Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Houston, TX
Additional locations may include: Lake Jackson, TX

Salary: $63,950 - $76,260, plus overtime
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week is available

Focus:  The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for assisting in the payment processes for global vendor accounts in compliance with established policy, procedures and internal controls.

Accounts Payable Specialist Essential Job Functions:

Troubleshooting aged invoices blocked for payment, identifying root cause for payment block, determining responsible party to clear block, contacting responsible party, training responsible party on how to avoid payment block in future.  Evaluating, with purchasing team, how Olin can work with vendors for PR/PO set-up and/or vendor invoicing process to facilitate timely and automated payment to occur. Assisting in review of vendor master data for changes required, addresses, payment terms, PO type set-up Escalating and tracking escalated issues through to resolution, documenting issue, root cause, and actions Maintaining compliance with SOX internal control documentations and related assessments, making changes and recommendations for change as necessary. Providing requested documentation and support to internal and external auditors in a timely basis Helping to gather and document current state work programs for Accounts Payable Processes and working with manager to develop future state work programs Supporting contract service processes and procedures Accounts Payable Specialist Minimum Requirements: Must meet one of following requirements: High school diploma and minimum of 2 years of related Accounts Payable or Accounting experience; or, Bachelor's Degree* and minimum of 1 year of related Accounts Payable or Accounting experience Proficient in SAP Accounts Payable modules with experience in payment runs preferred Experience in managing compliance with established internal controls procedures  Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor    Exceptional organization skills to track, maintain timely documentation, and manage status of multiple vendor accounts, adjustments, and approvals     Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills     Problem solving skills and attention to detail  Self-performer, works well on their own with little immediate supervision and report supervision  Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
