Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices by reviewing transactions for correct coding and 3-way matching criteria, maintaining vendor relationships, and providing support to other business departments. The Accounts Payable Specialist requires a reliable and task-oriented professional with excellent attention to detail. ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process all accounts payable, matching them with purchase orders, in accordance with departmental timelines and procedures.Review all invoices for payment and obtain proper approvals from the respective business units.Ensure customer/vendor information is accurately reflected within system records.Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.Generate routine records and reports and maintain files and accounting documentation.Act as a subject matter expert to assist all departments and vendors in resolving complex accounts payable questions and concerns.Identify and make recommendations to improve and control department processes to ensure optimal performance.Research and resolve correspondence with vendors and business units on any invoice and/or payment inquiries.

Essential Skills3+ years of accounts payable experience working with vendor accounts, invoice processing, payments, and account balance research.Experience in accounting software (PeopleSoft)Proficient in Microsoft Excel.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
