Description We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Princeton, NJ. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will encompass reviewing and processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely responses to all vendor inquiries. Responsibilities • Accurately and promptly process customer credit applications. • Maintain and manage customer credit records effectively. • Respond timely and accurately to all external and internal vendor requests and inquiries via phone and email. • Regularly reconcile vendor balances and A/P aging. • Perform weekly payment runs according to check signor’s availability. • Ensure the recording of any and all use tax liabilities’ on invoices. • Assist with annual audits and fulfill various audit requests as required. • Screen invoices for accuracy and completeness. • Review vendor invoices and enter into the ERP system. • Develop, implement, and adhere to A/P procedures and policies in line with company guidelines. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Manufacturing industry. • Must have experience working with Accounting Software Systems. • Familiarity and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required. • Strong knowledge of general Accounting Functions. • Must have substantial practical experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
