Description We are in search of an accomplished Accounts Payable Specialist to be a part of our team in the Insurance industry. This opportunity is based in Branchville, New Jersey, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The workplace adopts a hybrid model, with two days on-site and three days working from home. Responsibilities: • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing. • Handle a high volume of transactions with precision and efficiency. • Utilize accounting software systems to manage and track financial information. • Accurately code accounts for proper classification and record-keeping. • Perform auditing tasks to maintain financial security and prevent discrepancies. • Use Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and financial reporting. • Manage the Accrual Accounting process to record revenues and expenses when they are incurred. • Communicate effectively with team members and external parties to resolve any issues related to accounts payable. • Employ Automated Clearing House (ACH) for electronic money transfer between banks. • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action in response to any changes or issues. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, with the ability to correctly assign expenses to the appropriate accounts. • Familiarity and experience with Accounting Software Systems to manage and monitor transactions. • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and processes. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, with the ability to record transactions when they occur, not when cash changes hands. • Experience in Auditing, ensuring all financial operations within the company are transparent and compliant. • Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, ensuring smooth processing of electronic transfers. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create spreadsheets, use complex formulas, and generate reports.
