Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are seeking an organized and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting department. Ideal candidates will have solid experience in managing accounts payable functions and have proficiency in Great Plains software. They will be tasked with managing and overseeing the entire accounts payable duties while maintaining accuracy in their daily operations. Responsibilities: Accurately perform daily accounts payable tasks such as verification, classification, and recording of bills, invoices, and payment checks. Maintain and enhance an organized, streamlined system of tracking, monitoring, and prioritizing invoices and payments in Great Plains accounting software. Analyze, resolve, and assist in all queries related to accounts payable from both internal and external stakeholders. Prepare weekly reports, providing visibility into the status of accounts payable. Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax payments and corresponding reports. Process company credit card bills and expense claims, ensuring all company policies are adhered to. Regularly review procedures and optimize for efficiency. Foster and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist. Hands-on experience with Great Plains accounting software. In-depth understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles, practices, regulations, and procedures. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Profound ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel. Exceptional time management and organizational abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
