Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist in the health insurance industry, based in Cleveland, Ohio. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing account payables, processing payments, and maintaining financial records, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing invoice and check requests in a timely manner. • Efficiently managing payment runs to ensure smooth financial operations. • Conducting daily account balancing to monitor financial activities. • Processing journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Regularly communicating with both internal and external customers to resolve any issues or inquiries. • Processing supplier additions to keep the supplier database up-to-date. • Responding to audit requests and preparing necessary reports. • Working closely with purchase orders to ensure accurate accounting of financial transactions. • Utilizing various accounting software systems for efficient account management. • Performing various accounting functions, including accrual accounting and auditing. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for this role. • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Ability to utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial. • Understanding of Accounting Functions is vital. • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is needed. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is important. • Auditing skills are required for this position. • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is mandatory.
