Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position in Somerset, New Jersey, for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Manufacturing industry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial tasks, including handling accounts payable, auditing, and utilizing various accounting software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the company's accounting functions, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Code and process all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
• Utilize various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services and Concur for efficient data management.
• Oversee account coding to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
• Implement and manage ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for the company's financial operations.
• Handle the accrual accounting process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
• Conduct auditing tasks to identify and rectify any discrepancies in financial records.
• Manage the Automated Clearing House (ACH) process for efficient fund transfer.
• Monitor and resolve any customer inquiries related to accounts payable.
• Conduct regular checks on customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required for accurately categorizing company expenses.
• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is essential for efficient data management and processing.
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is necessary for managing payroll and employee benefits.
• Experience with Concur is important for managing business expenses and invoices.
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial for integrating and managing the fundamental processes of a company.
• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions is important for maintaining financial records.
• Mastery of Accounts Payable (AP) is required for managing company's debts and payments.
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is essential for recording revenues and expenses when they are incurred, regardless of when cash is exchanged.
• Auditing skills are necessary for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with laws.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is important for dealing with electronic money transfer.
