Under general supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager performs all A/P related functions in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma with at least 2 years accounts payable experience required.Full Cycle experience utilizing a Windows-based accounting system.The successful candidate must demonstrate discipline and strong attention to detail as well as strong analytical problem-solving and organization skills basic accounting principles knowledge documentation skills research and resolution skills and multi-tasking skills required.Knowledge of MS Office is neededExcellent editing skills for reviewing invoices processed against paper submittedExcellent ability to build positive professional relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates a focus on productivity with an expected 2-Day turn around on approved Invoices processed by the property through EPRO within the OneSource systemCompletes same day processing of invoices for demands submitted by the property by Noon CST deadline and/or by Corporate by 2:00pm CSTDemonstrates excellent editing skillsConfirms invoices have the appropriate documentation and back-up prior to postingReviews document prior to entry to ensure duplicate payments are not madeDuplicates payment resolution to recovery of fundsPrioritizes invoices according to cash discount potential and payment termsScans processes and posts vendor invoices employee expense reports and demand checks into DataPlusResponds to all vendor inquiries both internal and external (phone & email within 24 hours)Adheres to weekly and month-end closing schedulesAssists the properties in research and resolution of AP questionsMaintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesMaintains AP files and various daily weekly and monthly AP related spreadsheets and reportsAssists with other projects as needed
