Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Commodities House industry. This role is based in Dallas, Texas, and offers a hybrid work environment, combining on-site and remote work. This position provides a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Ensure efficiency and accuracy in processing invoices and managing all aspects of accounts payable. • Regularly operate Navision software for daily tasks. • Oversee all tasks related to purchase orders and confirm their accuracy. • Manage the scanning and timely processing of invoices. • Utilize Office Suite, particularly Excel, for various tasks. • Operate in a hybrid work schedule, adjusting to the required on-site and remote working days. • Collaborate with diverse teams to address any issues associated with accounts payable. • Uphold the standards of our accounting functions, including accrual accounting and automated clearing house operations. • Regularly use accounting software systems and tools like ADP and Concur. • Apply knowledge of account coding to ensure accurate financial records. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, ensuring accurate classification and recording of financial transactions. • Experience with Accounting Software Systems, demonstrating competence in using digital tools for financial management. • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services, indicating ability to manage payroll and other financial services. • Proficiency in Concur, reflecting competency in expense management systems. • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, showing understanding of integrated management of core business processes. • Experience in Accounting Functions, demonstrating broad understanding of financial management. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), indicating ability to manage short-term liabilities. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, showing understanding of recording revenues and expenses when they are incurred, regardless of when cash is exchanged. • Experience in Auditing, demonstrating ability to assess financial records for accuracy and compliance. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH), indicating competence in electronic funds transfer. • Proficiency in Navision, showing experience in using this specific enterprise resource planning software.
