Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Insurance - Casualty industry located in Webster, Massachusetts, 01570-2249, United States. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be expected to manage a high volume of invoices, monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, and liaise with Vendor Management Office for purchase orders. Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage high volume invoice processing • Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable inbox regularly • Cooperate with the Vendor Management Office for purchase order arrangements • Execute tasks associated with AS400 jobs when necessary • Split invoices by vendor for organized record keeping • Utilize SAP for Accounts Payable work • Perform various Accounting Functions including Accrual Accounting • Conduct Auditing tasks as required • Use Automated Clearing House (ACH) for transactions when necessary • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other Accounting Software Systems for efficient account management and coding. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding, with the ability to accurately classify and record transactions. • Demonstrated experience with accounting software systems to manage financial data efficiently. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems, preferably with a focus on finance modules. • Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger. • Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management. • Deep knowledge of accrual accounting principles and the ability to apply these principles in day-to-day accounting tasks. • Experience in auditing, with the ability to identify discrepancies and rectify accounting records. • Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, ensuring timely and efficient payment processes. • Experience with SAP or similar accounting software, with the ability to utilize its features for efficient accounts payable management.
