Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and preparing payments to vendors. Additionally, you will support the procurement team with order processing and purchasing activities, and assist with data entry for the sales department. This is an excellent consulting opportunity with the potential to become a full-time position.

ResponsibilitiesProcess, verify, and reconcile invoices and prepare payments to vendors.Manage payment processing and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor information.Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and account reconciliations related to accounts payable.Participate in various finance and accounting projects, such as process improvements and system enhancements.Support the procurement team with order processing and purchasing activities.Help maintain procurement records, including orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.Assist with the evaluation of vendor terms and performance to ensure strategic sourcing effectiveness.Support data entry for sales orders and sales acknowledgements as time allows.Cross-train and support other aspects of the CAP office as required.Essential SkillsExperience in accounts payable, invoicing, and invoice processing.Ability to update vendor information and perform data entry.Knowledge of accounting and purchase order processes.At least 3 months of experience in accounts payable.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with pivot tables and vlookups is a plus, but not required.Work Environment

You will be part of a smaller accounting team and report to their high levelAccountant. This position requires you to work five days in the office with a typical workday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The company has recently implemented Netsuite and automated their accounts payable process. You will also assist the accounting and sales departments with project-related tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
