Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be primarily focused on managing our accounts payable process but also be involved in other accounting tasks such as reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and general ledger work. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable process • Enter data accurately and efficiently into the system • Process invoices and ensure they are coded correctly • Run checks and manage the payment process • Assist in account reconciliation tasks as needed • Support in the preparation of financial statements • Contribute to general ledger work and other accounting tasks • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and other relevant software for accounting tasks • Provide support during peak periods and meet set deadlines • Work collaboratively with other team members and provide support in other areas as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. • Must have a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP). • Experience in Check Runs is essential. • Ability to manage Coding Invoices efficiently. • Must have proven skills in Data Entry. • Experience in Invoice Processing is necessary. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. • Familiarity with Oracle software is desired. • Experience with QuickBooks is beneficial. • Knowledge of SAP software is essential.
