Description We are in the process of welcoming an Accounts Payable Specialist to our team in the Oil & Gas industry, located in Dallas, Texas. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and plays a crucial role in managing the disbursement processes within the department. Responsibilities • Efficiently and accurately handle Special Check Payments and process payment Batches. • Take charge of entering and processing Right Of Way (ROW) check payments. • Assist in handling check voids for repayment and blocking for reversals. • Contribute to other teams within the department with statements. • Utilize Accounts Payable (AP) skills to manage cash disbursements. • Operate 10 Key Skills in the process of check runs. • Enter invoices as part of the daily tasks. • Oversee the processing of cash disbursements. Requirements • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and procedures • Experience with processing payments in a timely and accurate manner • Ability to enter invoices into accounting software with precision • Familiarity with check processing and check runs in the Oil & Gas industry • Experience in handling cash disbursements and managing disbursement procedures • Demonstrated proficiency in 10 Key Skills for efficient data entry • Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry-specific accounting practices and regulations • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all financial tasks • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor relations • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
