Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, Texas. This role is crucial to our operation, focusing on the management of vendor records, invoice processing, and financial reconciliation. Responsibilities: • Oversee the maintenance of vendor records, ensuring their accuracy and completeness • Handle and sort invoices, check requests, purchase orders, and receivers • Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records • Obtain necessary approvals, code invoices, and enter them for payment • Carry out the preparation and processing of accounts payable checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments • Monitor account balances regularly to ensure payments are up-to-date • Assist in the processing of Sales Tax and 1099’s • Communicate effectively with employees and vendors via various channels such as phone, email, internet, or mail • Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts • Comply with generally accepted accounting standards in all tasks • Substitute for receptionist when necessary • File and maintain accounting records meticulously • Fulfill any task assigned by management within the scope of the role's responsibilities.
