Description We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Sacrament, California. This position will play an important role in managing the organization's financial obligations and assist us in supporting the community we serve. This role offers a temporary to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: + Process and monitor invoices, ensuring correct amounts are billed and proper account coding is applied + Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data + Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and generating check requests + Monitor accounts to ensure payments are made promptly and follow-up on unpaid invoices + Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies + Liaise with internal staff and vendors regarding billing issues or inquiries + Produce monthly reports detailing paid and unpaid status of invoices + Assist with the preparation of month-end financial statements + Cooperate with the annual audit process + Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field + At least 2 years of previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role + Proficient in Abila MIP + Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles + Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records + High degree of accuracy and attention to detail + Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to operate in a professional manner under confidentiality policies related to sensitive organization and client information Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
