Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to become part of our team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves handling incoming invoices, managing payments to vendors, and assisting with general accounting tasks. You will be playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable and supporting cash flow analysis. Responsibilities: • Handle incoming invoices, ensuring they are accurately coded and input into the accounting system. • Manage payments to vendors, including executing weekly check runs and processing occasional ACH payments. • Maintain up-to-date records of all payable transactions in compliance with company policies and audit requirements. • Assist in reconciling monthly accounts payable ledgers and preparing cash flow analysis reports. • Respond to inquiries from vendors and maintain positive relationships while resolving payment issues promptly and professionally. • Collaborate with other accounting team members to provide support for audits, reporting, and other financial needs as required. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies by investigating and following up with vendors or internal departments. • Assist with maintaining monthly accounts payable ledgers, reconciling AP balances, and contributing to the preparation of cash flow analysis reports. Requirements + A minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles. + Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles. + Proficiency in accounting software; experience with [insert specific accounting/ERP system, if applicable] is a plus. + Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) are highly desirable. + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on vendor service.
