Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Financial Services industry, located in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In this role, you will be a vital part of our team, taking charge of the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy in invoicing and accounting procedures, and playing a pivotal role in maintaining our financial records.
Responsibilities
• Process and oversee the coding of invoices for approval and payment
• Accurately reconcile account balances, ensuring all financial data aligns and there are no discrepancies
• Manage the processing of customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all procedures
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date customer credit records
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts in a timely manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Operate QuickBooks Desktop software for accounting tasks and operations
• Assist in the processing of check runs, ensuring all payments are completed on time
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking, maintaining the accuracy of all information
• Provide support in other accounting tasks as needed, including basic accounting journal entries and debits/credits.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required, with the ability to accurately compare and correct financial records.
• Must have experience in Accounts Payable (AP), demonstrating a deep understanding of managing a company's bills and expenses.
• Familiarity with Check Runs is needed, ensuring that all checks are issued to the correct payee and for the correct amount.
• The candidate should have the ability to perform Coding Invoices, assigning appropriate codes to various invoice items.
• Expertise in Invoice Processing is expected, with the capability to efficiently handle, record, and manage incoming invoices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed, with the ability to perform complex functions, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Experience with QuickBooks is essential, demonstrating the ability to manage and maintain financial records using this software.
