Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Anaheim, California. This role primarily revolves around handling all bills received for payment and executing the payments to all creditors with accuracy and efficiency. The job function extends to resolving purchase orders, bills, or payment discrepancies and documentation by liaising with other departments, managers, and vendors. Responsibilities: • Effectively manage all payment cycle activities on a daily basis • Review and process bills in AP Automation system, ensuring customer discounts are applied and credit is received for outstanding memos • Schedule and prepare checks, online payments, and credit card payments • Handle vendor forms, resale certificates, W-9s, and their maintenance • Regularly reconcile vendor statements and review AP aging to ensure payments are up to date • Address and resolve bill or payment discrepancies • Professionally correspond with vendors and respond to payment inquiries • Process drop-ship invoices and assist Accounts Receivable by clarifying Freight In costs • Follow up on purchase orders with the Receiving Department and reconcile credit card statements • Collaborate in the AP closing process at the end of each month • Perform other duties as needed within the scope of the role. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary • Knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must • Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial • Auditing skills are needed • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is beneficial • Proficiency in using Acumatica software • Familiarity with NetSuite is desirable • Ability to execute Check Runs efficiently • Experience in Full Cycle processes • Knowledge in Full Cycle Accounting is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
