Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Fairfax, Virginia. This role is within the industry and requires the execution of various tasks related to Accounts Payable. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable transactions. • Oversee and manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies. • Address and resolve any issues or inquiries related to accounts payable. • Maintain and update financial records and documents for accounts payable. • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards. • Implement and maintain systems to improve the accounts payable process. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. • Facilitate payment procedures and ensure all payments are made on time. • Monitor and report on the status of accounts payable to the management team. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role in the financial sector • Proficient knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures • Demonstrated ability to handle high volume invoice processing • Exceptional numerical proficiency and attention to detail • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles • Proficiency in using financial software and office productivity tools • Ability to process payments and expenses in a timely and accurate manner • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
