Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are providing an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role primarily involves managing the accounts payable process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in operations, and resolving any discrepancies related to billing and payments. This position is a short-term contract employment opportunity within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the accounts payable process to ensure smooth operations. • Verify and post receipts to secure revenue. • Reconcile incoming invoices and requests for payments, ensuring they match with receipts. • Resolve any discrepancies in billing and payments in a timely manner. • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the status of accounts payable. • Maintain historical records accurately and document actions and discussions. • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial policies and procedures, ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements. • Provide support during month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Utilize your skills in Account Coding, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, D365 to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable process. The salary range of this position is $55,000 - $75,000. Benefits available to contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting. • Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP). • Demonstrated knowledge in auditing procedures. • Working experience with D365 software. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume environments. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to accounts payable.
