Description A well-established Farm Supply Company in Escondido is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join their accounting team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have a strong understanding of AP processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while supporting key financial operations for a business dedicated to serving the agricultural community. Key Responsibilities: + Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and timely approvals. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or payment inquiries. + Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. + Maintain accurate AP records and ensure proper documentation for audits. + Communicate effectively with vendors to address issues or clarify payment terms. + Collaborate with other departments to manage purchase orders and expense reports. + Assist in month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable and prepare related reports. Requirements + 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, preferably in a supply chain or agricultural environment. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and intermediate Excel skills. + Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. + Ability to handle a high volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy. + High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
