Accounts Payable Specialist
Description Key Responsibilities: + Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices for payment while ensuring accurate coding to general ledger accounts. + Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor records, collaborate with vendors to resolve issues, disputes, or payment discrepancies. + Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, ACH payments, and other types of payments in a timely manner. + Expense Reports: Audit and process employee expense reports following company policies and procedures. + Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly and resolve any discrepancies promptly. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and internal control guidelines in all accounts payable activities. + Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accounts payable reports for management. + Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements Qualifications: + Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. + Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in accounts payable or a similar finance function. + Technical Skills: + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite). + Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets. + Key Competencies: + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. + Effective communication skills for vendor inquiries and internal collaboration.
