Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing sector, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and involves the accurate processing of customer applications, maintenance of customer records, and the resolution of customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action where necessary. Responsibilities: • Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of up to 200 customer credit applications per week with a three-way match system. • Regular communication with vendors to ensure early payment wherever possible. • Weekly check runs with a maximum of 75 invoices per week. • Keeping up-to-date with vendor systems for reporting sales tax, as this varies. • Scanning and inputting invoices into the ERP system, Databasics, which is widely used in the Construction industry. • Assisting with the maintenance of accurate customer credit records. • Collaborating with internal teams for follow-ups on purchase orders and non-purchase orders. • Utilizing accounting software systems and tools such as ADP - Financial Services and Concur for efficient operations. • Applying knowledge of account coding, accounting functions, accrual accounting, and auditing in daily tasks. • Overseeing Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions as part of accounts payable responsibilities. Requirements • Proven proficiency in Account Coding is essential for this role. • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required. • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a must. • Experience with Concur software system is necessary. • Strong knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial. • A solid understanding of Accounting Functions is mandatory. • A demonstrated ability in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is important. • Experience with Accrual Accounting is a key requirement. • Auditing skills are highly desirable. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is beneficial.
