Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves updating transaction details, maintaining the integrity of our financial data, and managing accounts payable operations. It is a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial industry. Responsibilities: • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of AP invoices. • Keeping all transaction details up-to-date, particularly in the area of AP payments. • Coordinating with the Accounting Manager for task supervision and assistance. • Handling 3-way matching and coding to the General Ledger, with an average of 30-50 invoices. • Assisting in the preparation of Journal Entries as required. • Conducting weekly check runs to ensure smooth financial operations. • Utilizing Excel for data analysis, formula application, and database tracking. • Operating the Epicor ERP system for efficient management of accounting functions. • Employing the Automated Clearing House (ACH) for transaction processing. • Adhering to the principles of accrual accounting and conducting audits as necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficiency in account coding procedures. • Knowledge and experience with accounting software systems. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems. • In-depth understanding of accounting functions, specifically accounts payable (AP). • Experience in accrual accounting. • Demonstrated skill in auditing processes. • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. • Knowledge of Epicor ERP system. • Ability to use Epicor software effectively.
