Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in New York. The role involves comprehensive management of accounts payable functions, including invoice review and analysis, as well as interaction with vendors. This is a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Oversee the thorough review and analysis of accounts payable invoices • Conduct audits of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance • Code and document invoices accurately for seamless processing • Ensure correct payment processing for all invoices • Review accounts payable and payroll invoices systematically • Resolve any discrepancies found in invoices promptly and efficiently • Engage with vendors as needed for account management • Utilize Sage Intacct for efficient data entry and account management • Contribute to ad hoc projects as directed by the team • Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting needs. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the non-profit sector. • Proficiency in managing all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) including processing, recording, and maintaining AP records. • Demonstrated ability to accurately code invoices and ensure all invoices are approved in a timely manner. • Proven experience in handling and resolving invoice discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial data. • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficient in using financial software, preferably Sage Intacct, to manage and analyze financial data. • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify any discrepancies. • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
