Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to become an integral part of our team. Operating in a hybrid environment, this role is located in Irving, Texas and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be performing tasks such as processing invoices, managing vendor relations, and preparing payments. Additionally, you will be involved in month-end and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities: • Processing a high volume of invoices for multiple entities in an accurate and timely manner • Ensuring correct coding of invoices to the relevant general ledger accounts and cost centers • Promptly and professionally addressing any discrepancies or issues with vendors regarding invoices or payments • Reconciling vendor statements to guarantee all invoices are accounted for and settled promptly • Preparing and processing various forms of payments including check runs, ACH, and wire transfers, in accordance with company policies and payment terms • Ensuring prompt payments to avert late fees or service disruptions • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes by making certain all accounts payable transactions are recorded • Maintaining relationships with vendors and responding to their inquiries swiftly and professionally • Using accounting software such as Excel and other large ERP systems proficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required • Must be experienced in using Accounting Software Systems • Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services are necessary • Familiarity and proficiency in Concur is expected • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required • Must be capable of performing Accounting Functions effectively • Should have experience and knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP) • Accrual Accounting skills are necessary • Auditing skills and experience are required • Must have experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
