Description We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will be primarily accountable for processing accounts payable and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning will be crucial, especially within the construction industry. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process accounts payable in a timely manner using Accounting Software Systems.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and account coding.
• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient accounting functions.
• Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions as required.
• Apply knowledge of accrual accounting to maintain accurate financial records.
• Leverage experience in construction accounting for industry-specific transactions.
• Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Handle high-volume accounts payable tasks beyond just data entry. Requirements • Possess proficiency in Account Coding, able to accurately categorize transactions for streamlined financial reporting.
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems to manage financial data effectively and efficiently.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, showcasing an understanding of integrated management of main business processes.
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP), demonstrating strong financial management skills.
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, reflecting an understanding of recognizing economic events regardless of when cash transactions occur.
• Auditing skills, indicating a capacity for thorough financial inspection and verification.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, demonstrating an understanding of electronic funds-transfer systems.
• Experience in Construction Accounting, reflecting an understanding of the unique financial management needs of the construction industry.
• Prior work experience in the Construction Industry, showcasing a familiarity with industry-specific financial practices and standards.
