Description We are in the manufacturing industry, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33311, United States, and we're looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The primary role of the Accounts Payable Specialist is to manage all activities in the accounts payable function. This includes accurate invoice processing, vendor account management, and expense reconciliation. Responsibilities: • Handle the 2- or 3-way matching process for invoice processing, ensuring accuracy at every step. • Manage vendor accounts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely and correct payments. • Oversee the accurate coding and processing of invoices, including those associated with purchase orders. • Take charge of expense accounting, understanding the intricacies of general ledger accounts and expense accounts. • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and oversee credit card transactions to maintain financial integrity. • Enter materials, consumables, and expenses into the system, ensuring accurate record-keeping. • Handle basic accounts receivable tasks such as billing and sending invoices, ensuring timely payments. • Maintain high levels of organization and precision in all tasks, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Accounts Payable or a similar role within the Manufacturing industry. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) processes. • Demonstrated experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices. • Skilled in Data Entry and Invoice Processing. • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel. • Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required. • Knowledge and understanding of 3 Way Matching process. • Familiarity with Purchase Orders. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
