Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Aerospace industry, based in Gardena, California, 90248, United States. The role involves high-level accounts payable tasks, collaborating with internal teams, and maintaining vendor relationships. Responsibilities • Execute accounts payable transactions in high volume, ensuring payments are accurate and timely. • Collaborate with different internal teams to resolve any discrepancies and facilitate timely invoice approvals. • Maintain and prepare payment batches, ensuring their accurate recording in the ERP system. • Engage in the review and coding of invoices, ensuring they comply with company policies. • Generate and review accounts payable reports, performing account reconciliation as necessary. • Assist in the processes related to accounts payable during month-end closing. • Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking. • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries about payment status. • Leverage skills in Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning among others. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the system and its applications in the aerospace industry. • Ability to work with Accounting Software Systems, effectively utilizing these tools to manage and organize financial data. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services, demonstrating knowledge and expertise in leveraging this platform for financial management. • Familiarity with Concur, demonstrating the ability to manage expenses and invoices using this tool. • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, showcasing the ability to integrate various business processes for more efficient operations. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including but not limited to, preparing and analyzing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), with a focus on processing invoices, making payments, and maintaining vendor relationships. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, demonstrating the ability to record revenues and expenses when they are incurred, regardless of when cash is exchanged. • Experience in Auditing, ensuring all financial operations are compliant with industry standards and regulations. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, demonstrating the ability to manage and process electronic payments and collections.
