Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the insurance industry, located in Dallas, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary focus will be on handling vendor bills, managing vendor relationships, and supporting accounting functions with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process vendor bills received and enter into the AP system. • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving any invoice/payment discrepancies. • Secure payment information from vendors in a timely manner. • Keep track of vendor contracts and details, ensuring the accuracy of the vendor master file. • Contribute to the ME close process, providing necessary support. • Experience in Coupa Accounting Software • Regularly audit accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Use Account Coding techniques to code invoices appropriately. • Oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions as needed. • Manage vendor relations, ensuring smooth and efficient communication. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the insurance industry. • Proficiency in account coding, with a strong understanding of accrual accounting principles. • Extensive experience with accounting software systems such as NetSuite and Coupa. • Demonstrated ability to handle all accounting functions, particularly Accounts Payable (AP). • Experience in auditing procedures, ensuring all financial operations adhere to regulations and standards. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and processes. • Proven track record in vendor management, including managing vendor relationships and vendor relations. • Ability to accurately code invoices and ensure all approved invoices are correctly processed. • Strong competency in Vendor Relationship Management, with a focus on maintaining positive and productive relationships.
